NORTH CHARLESTON — A man recently found by the FBI in northern California has been charged in a 2020 Dorchester County murder, according to authorities.Gerard Antonio Felder-Davis, 24, was booked Feb. 3 into the Dorchester County jail in the shooting death of Melvin Smalls III. Smalls was shot to death on July 7, 2020. The 33-year-old was found in a garage on Archdale Boulevard suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Lt. Rick Carson, a spokesman for the Dorchester County Sheriff's Office, wouldn't say how investigators connected Felder-Davis to shooting.
